CHS NEWS—
Freshmen Orientation will be tomorrow, Tuesday the 22nd, at CHS from 5:30-6:30pm. Please meet in the CHS Auditorium. Tours will be available.
CHS PEP BAND NEWS
The first CHS football game is on Saturday, August 26th at noon. We will have a couple of informal rehearsals this week on Monday from 6:00- 7:00 PM and Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 PM to get some tunes ready.
If your student is renting an instrument from the school, there will be an $85.00 rental fee for the year.

These rules are intended to ensure all our bus riders and drivers have a safe, pleasant journey each day. Have a wonderful school year.

One week from today and our students will be back! We are excited for the best year yet at Pine Butte Elementary! By now, you should have gotten the letter telling you which teacher your child has been assigned to...if you haven't yet, it will be there soon. We encourage you to attend back-to-school night on Wednesday, August 23 from 5:00-6:30. Come deliver your child's supplies, get your packet and fill out the forms we need, stop by the cafeteria and pay for lunches or fill out free and reduced forms and pick an ice cream up on your way out. Can't wait to see you!

FBMS Open House is on Wednesday, August 23rd from 5:00-6:30! Please use student bus entrance. You may also bring athletic registration information, school supplies, over the counter medication information, and lunch money.
The first day of fall sports practice will be on Thursday, August 24, 2023. Athletes must have the sports physical, activity fee paid, and all paperwork completed before they may participate.

Colstrip Schools will not be running an activity bus at this time.
FALL PARENT SPORTS MEETINGS—
CHS PARENTS—We apologize! The post card is not correct and we missed it! The CHS Parent meeting will be from 6-7pm, TONIGHT, individual sport meetings at 7pm.
FBMS PARENTS—The FBMS Parent meeting will be the first day of school/first day of practice at 6pm in the FBMS Auditorium.

We will be passing out paperwork if needed, answering questions, and helping you get your student athletes prepared for the school year.
FALL SPORTS PARENT MEETING:
MANDATORY meeting for all parents of fall student athletes will be held THURSDAY, AUGUST 10 at 6pm in the CHS Auditorium.

Please remember ALL paperwork must be completed and uploaded through DragonFly BEFORE the first practice for your athlete.
Download the DragonFly app to your phone, create an account as a parent and upload the paperwork through the app. The phone app will allow you to receive messages form coaches. You can create an account and upload the paperwork on a computer, however you will not receive messages.
**NOTE: FBMS and CHS have now been combined and willuse one QR code (below)!
**If you are struggle go with DragonFly, please bring hard copies of all paperwork to the CHS office.
Physicals must be completed by a licensed health care provider.
Athletes MAY NOT begin practice without a physical.
Impact Testing must be done by the school for all new students and returning students participating in athletics in grades 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th.
Impact Testing will be done at Colstrip High School:
August 7th-10th, Monday-Thursday, 9am-3pm
**No appointment necessary, check-in at CHS Office.
**Impact Testing will be completed for all students planning to participate in athletics THROUGHOUT the school year, not just fall.
**Impact Testing is our baseline/post injury concussion assessment program.

5. Provider's Physical Examination Form
6. PPE Health History
Also make sure that your forms have been approved. If any of the above is missing or approval was not received, please print the forms and bring them to the high school activities office. The forms can also be located on the school website under "Documents / Athletics & Activities / 2023-2024 Athletic Participation Packet." Your student athlete will not be allowed to participate in practice without the above documents, including activity fee.
Please look for the Athletic Participation forms under "Documents / Athletics & Activities / 2023-2024 Athletic Participation Packet" on the Colstrip Public Schools website.

Please print and use these forms and return them to the athletic secretary at CHS, whether you are submitting paperwork for FBMS or CHS.
If you have already submitted paperwork for the 23-24 school year in Dragonfly, you do not have to resubmit that paperwork.
If you HAVE NOT submitted paperwork, please use these hardcopies.
If you started to submit paperwork through Dragonfly but haven't submitted everything, please use these hardcopy forms to complete your paperwork.

There will be an Indian Education Committee Meeting for the Colstrip JOM in Lame Deer at the Tribal Chambers at 5:30 on August 1st. We would love to see the parents of our Colstrip JOM students there.
