CENTRAL OFFICE: There will be a Meet & Greet with our New Superintendent Scott O'Tremba on Monday August 12, 2024 to officially welcome him to Colstrip Public Schools. This meeting will be held at Colstrip High School in the Central Board Room at 5000 Pine Butte Road. There may be a quorum of the Colstrip Public School Board of Trustees from 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm, but no official business will be done during that time. Community members are invited!

Every year, each child needs to have an Annual Health Update Form filled out. Those will be sent home/given out at your child's school. If your child needs forms for over the counter medication, prescription medication, allergies, asthma, diabetes or seizures, please see https://www.colstrippublicschools.org/page/nurse for the forms you can print off and turn into the building your child attends. Due to ongoing issues with Dragonfly, we are asking parents and students either stop by the High School Main Office or print out the partition packets for sports and activities. **Updated with link to packet below** ATHLETICS NOTICE CHS/FBMS** We are two weeks out from fall sports and activities starting at Colstrip Public Schools. CHS Fall Athletics start Friday, August 16th and FBMS Fall Athletics start Thursday, August 22nd. All paperwork is available on the school website in Athletics/Documents/Participation Packet. Physicals must be completed by a licensed health care provider. Athletes MAY NOT begin practice without a completed packet and a paid Activity Fee. Impact Testing must be completed by ALL students participating in athletics in grades 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th and any newly enrolled FBMS or CHS student that plans to participate in athletics. Impact Testing will be done at Colstrip High School on Wednesday, August 14th and Thursday, August 15th from 9am-5pm **No appointment necessary, check in at CHS Office or call to make an appointment if you won't be able to make it on the scheduled days **At this time, Impact Testing will be completed for all students planning to participate in athletics THROUGHOUT the school year, not just fall. Once completed, the packet is good for all sports and activities for the entire school year. Paperwork for CPS sports includes: 1) Student Physical 2)Concussion Statement 3) Permission slip with parent signature 4) Drug Testing Consent Form 5) Activity Fee: $75 CHS $50 FBMS ($200 Maximum Family for enrolled CHS/FBMS students) . **Athletics Notice** Don't forget to schedule your physical if you plan to participate in athletics at Colstrip Public Schools during the 2024-2025 school year. The new MHSA 2024-2025 Pre-Participation Physical Exam Form has been uploaded to the Athletic folder in "Documents" on the CPS website. It is also available from your regular medical provider and on the MHSA website.

CHS/FBMS Athletics- Colstrip Athletics will offer Impact pre-concussion testing for all middle and high school students on August 14th and 15th in the main office at Colstrip High School from 9AM until 5PM. Impact testing is required for all prospective student-athletes by MHSA. Your student will not be allowed to participate in practices or competitions until this testing is completed. All students entering 6th, 8th, 10th, and 12th grade as well as new students who haven't taken Impact testing yet. If your student needs Impact testing and cannot be present on those dates, please contact Tom DuSold or Terri Bowen to set up an appointment to test after August 5th.

CHS/FBMS Athletics- There will be a meeting for all parents interested in having their students participate in sports at Colstrip High School and Frank Brattin Middle School on Tuesday, August 13th at 6PM in the auditorium at Colstrip High School. Changes in student paperwork and requirements for participation in sports will be reviewed in this meeting. Please make every effort to attend. This meeting will be for both high school and middle school families.
